Orcast is a desktop app for multicam video podcasts on Apple Silicon Mac and Windows 10/11. It is not an iPhone app or an audio-only editor. It needs internet and an account: the online engine computes the cut plan from technical audio data. Video files stay on your computer; optional speech recognition sends selected audio to a cloud service.

Is it a desktop or an iPhone app?
Orcast is a desktop app for multicam video podcasts on Apple Silicon Mac and Windows 10/11. It is not an iPhone app or an audio-only editor.
Does the app upload my video?
No. The app reads your files locally and your video files are never uploaded — only technical audio data is needed to work out the cut. Speech recognition runs over the internet only: the audio of the recording you picked goes to a cloud service — never the video. The video is not transmitted in either case.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes — a connection and a free email sign-in are required: the cut plan is computed by Orcast's online engine, which receives only technical audio data and your settings — never your video. The edit itself is then built on your computer.
How much does the app cost?
Free to download, with the first 5 minutes of every edit free — and you can export those 5 minutes. The Pro plan lifts the length limit: the whole episode instead of the first 5 minutes.
