Every camera, phone and recorder is aligned by its audio waveform, frame-accurate. No clapperboard, no timecode, no dragging clips until they match.
Each speaker's mic drives their camera: whoever is talking is on screen. Crosstalk and long monologues go to the wide shot, like a director would call it.
A speech transcript of the episode and subtitles for short clips come out of the same pass.
The cut lands on an editable timeline: change any shot, then export a finished mp4 or a layered timeline for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

Is there an app that edits podcasts automatically?
Yes — Orcast is a Mac app that takes the raw files from your cameras and microphones and returns a finished multicam episode: synced by sound, cut to whoever is speaking, on a timeline you can adjust before export.
How does it know who is speaking?
From your microphones. When each speaker has their own mic, Orcast can tell who is talking at any moment and puts that person's camera on screen — and goes to the wide shot when people talk over each other.
Do I lose control over the edit?
No. The automatic cut lands on a timeline where every shot can be changed, and you can export a layered timeline to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve to refine it by hand.
Does it remove filler words or silences?
No — Orcast automates the multicam layer: sync, camera switching and the wide shot. It doesn't re-write your conversation, so the pacing of your show stays exactly as you recorded it.
