What it edits for you

Each speaker's mic drives their camera: whoever is talking is on screen. Crosstalk and long monologues go to the wide shot, like a director would call it.
The edit lands on a timeline you can adjust, then export a finished mp4 or a layered timeline for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
What it doesn't pretend to do
Honesty first: Orcast automates the mechanical layer of a video-podcast edit. It won't rewrite your conversation, cut filler words, add music, or clean up audio — that stays your call, in Orcast's timeline or your own editor. If your show is audio-only, a sound editor fits better; Orcast is for the video, multi-camera side.

What does a podcast editor do?
A podcast editor takes raw recordings and turns them into a finished episode — syncing tracks, cutting between camera angles, and tidying the flow. Orcast automates the mechanical part of that for video podcasts: sync by sound and multicam switching, on an editable timeline.
Is Orcast a person or software?
Software — a Mac app. It does the editing work a video-podcast editor would spend hours on (sync, camera switching, staying on the speaker), and leaves the creative calls to you on a timeline you can adjust.
Can it edit a multi-camera video podcast?
Yes — that's what it's built for. It syncs every camera and mic by their audio, then cuts to whoever is speaking, using a wide shot for crosstalk and long monologues.
Does my footage get uploaded?
No. Orcast reads your files on your Mac and never uploads the video — only a tiny audio fingerprint is used to work out the cut. With subtitles on, only the audio is sent for transcription.
Is it free?
Orcast is free to download, and the first 5 minutes of any edit are free. Editing and exporting full-length episodes is part of the Pro plan.
