What's free vs Pro?
Free: download, sync by sound, the automatic multicam cut, a preview and export — the first 5 minutes of every edit are free. Pro: editing across the full length of the recording and full export — a finished mp4, or a layered timeline XML that Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve open directly.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
The Free plan includes the first 5 minutes of each edit and their export, without a payment card. Pro covers full-length editing and export. Speech recognition has a separate allowance; check the current plan details.
Is it free like Audacity or GarageBand?
Those are free audio editors. Orcast is different — it's a free-to-start video editor that does the multicam edit (camera switching) automatically. For audio-only shows, a sound editor fits better.
