Common questions
How does Orcast edit a multicam podcast automatically?
Orcast syncs your recordings using their shared sound and builds camera cuts around who is speaking. Review and adjust the cuts on the timeline, then export an MP4 or an editable FCP7 XML timeline for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Does my video ever leave my computer?
Video files stay on your computer. Building the cut sends technical audio data and editing settings to the online engine. If you start speech recognition, selected audio is sent to the configured cloud service.
What does the free version include?
Orcast is free to download and use (a free email sign-in and an internet connection are required). The first 5 minutes of every edit are free, with full sync-by-sound and auto-cut — and you can export them. Editing and exporting the full episode is part of Pro.
