What's the easiest podcast editing software for a beginner?
Choose software that fits your recordings and the result you need. For multicam video conversations, Orcast offers automatic sync and camera switching with a timeline to review. For audio-only work, use an audio editor.
Do I need editing skills to use Orcast?
You can begin without professional editing experience. You will still need to identify your cameras and sound recordings, check synchronization and review the cut. The visual guide walks through those steps.
How do I check whether the edit works?
Watch a short section with several speaker changes. Check lip sync, the selected camera and the pace of the cuts. Adjust the result where needed, then watch your exported sample. The quality also depends on the original recordings.
What do I need to start?
Orcast is a desktop app for multicam video podcasts on Apple Silicon Mac and Windows 10/11. It is not an iPhone app or an audio-only editor. It needs internet and an account: the online engine computes the cut plan from technical audio data. Video files stay on your computer; optional speech recognition sends selected audio to a cloud service.
Can I learn to fine-tune later?
Yes. When you're ready, change any shot on the timeline, or export a layered timeline to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and refine it there.
