Can it fit an existing Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve pipeline?
Yes. Orcast exports a layered timeline as an interchange XML (FCP7 XML) — every camera on its own track, cut where Orcast cut it — so a producer can hand a pre-edited multicam sequence to an editor for finishing instead of raw footage. Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve open that XML directly. Exporting the whole episode is part of the Pro plan — the first 5 minutes export for free.
How long does one episode take?
Processing time depends on the recording, your computer and the chosen options. Orcast automates sync and camera switching; allow time to review the edit and export it.
Does it handle publishing and hosting?
No — Orcast is the edit stage. It hands you a finished mp4 ready to upload wherever your show lives, plus subtitles as a separate SRT file you can use for show notes. Recording and hosting stay with the tools you already use.
Does the footage get uploaded to your servers?
No. Your video files are never uploaded — Orcast reads them on the computer. To work out the cut it reads the sound locally and sends its online engine only technical audio data — never the video itself. Speech recognition runs over the internet only: the audio of the recording you picked goes to a cloud service — never the video.
Is it free?
