Orcast prepares an automatic multicam podcast cut before you open DaVinci Resolve. Sync the cameras by sound, review the camera switches, then export a layered XML timeline for finishing in Resolve. Orcast runs as a separate app on Mac and Windows.

Drop in every camera and mic
Open the folder containing your camera and microphone recordings. Check that Orcast can read the files and that tracks intended for audio sync share usable sound; unsupported files may need conversion.

Orcast aligns recordings using shared audio and builds the multicam cut. Results depend on the recording: check sync and camera choices before export; adjust them when needed.

Orcast handles recorded multicam conversations on Mac and Windows. Colour grading, sound design and finishing remain in DaVinci Resolve. You can also export an MP4 or a timeline for Premiere Pro.

Can Orcast do multicam for DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. Orcast syncs your cameras and mics by sound, builds the multicam cut automatically, and exports a layered timeline you open in DaVinci Resolve — every camera on its own track, cut where Orcast cut it.
Do I still sync clips manually in Resolve?
No — that's the point. Orcast aligns everything by its audio waveform before export, so you skip the manual sync and multicam setup and go straight to refining the cut.
How is this different from Resolve's own multicam?
DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 introduced AI Multicam SmartSwitch for automatic angle switching. Orcast offers a separate workflow: sync and prepare the cut in its own app, then send an XML timeline to Resolve. Compare both on your recordings if you already use Studio.
Does it also export to Premiere Pro or just mp4?
Both. Besides the DaVinci Resolve timeline, Orcast exports a Premiere Pro timeline or a finished mp4 you can publish directly.
What do I need?
Prepare your original camera and microphone recordings, a supported Mac or Windows computer, and an internet connection. Sign in with your email. Keep the original files available for the XML import in Resolve.
